    For Fucks Sakes
    All I know is for the past few days all I've been doing is adding shit to the map to make it look nicer, and somewhere in the fuck between something fucked up.. Now the new map won't compile properly and is fucked up, I have no idea why as I've done nothing really major to the map besides add a bunch of textures to a lot of faces and add a bunch of brushes everything, nothing fancy just square brushes, but a lot of them to make a lot of new things and for some reason it corrupted my map file... Even after pressing [i] and deleting EVERYTHING on the map, it's still corrupted!!! Makes no god damn sense... Well whatever, reverting back to a VERY old one and have to start from there again fuck...

    So pretty much in the past few days, all that I've done to my map is travel back in time!!!

    Freaking Finally!
    Well today and yesterday I was working on adding gametypes into my map. So far I've completed every gametype... I went and got some tutorials from Wyatt, they were pretty helpful, except the SD tutorial, I was so fucked up I spent about 10 hours trying to figure that fucking thing out but finally after receiving some hints off of some forums I found the actual files that explain whats needed in these maps. Overall, the reason why SD never worked was because when I was compiling I had something checked off which for some reason caused SD not to work so I was confused for hours wondering why the fuck it didn't work.

    First I must've tried 4 different ways of creating everything needed for SD then I just gave up and tried it on a simple lame map with 1 brush, 2 objects and the objectives with spawns. I tried it and it worked! So I copied what I had there and placed it in mp_forcecity and what do you know, IT DIDN'T WORK! That's when I got the idea that maybe I was compiling it wrong or something as I did a full compile with the lame map and it worked and that did turn out to be my error. (=/)

    Now that that's done, I also added Retrieval in, it was pretty simple and straightforward, I actually finished half of it before I started SD and the other half when I was halfway into SD (=P) I never stick to one thing. After that I decided to go looking through the .pk3 files to see what HQ needed as there were no tutorials or any information on forums I could find. And what do you know? It was the easiest of all gametypes (minus BEL, TDM and DM)! All I had to do was create 1 entity and give it a targetname of hqradio! Fuck compare to SD that things a sinch. So I got around to testing the map with some clanmates and everything turned out A+ besides some minor flaws in the map (walking through tanks, short windows, broken light, etc.).

    Now all I gotta do is pretty up the map a bit more, fix everything that's broken (floating radios in HQ, walkthrough tanks in SD) and I guess I'll be done basically! Yay! Very happy!

    Well I still got 13 days to touch everything up, I think that's more than enough time. Till then, ciao.

    Some more things done
    Today I've added all the lights needed on the upper level as well as placing any needed crucial objects. I put trees in the background and in the city as well and added spawn points for deathmatch and team deathmatch. But that's pretty much all I've done today. Just made things look a bit prettier and more playable...

    So as of now it is playable but not yet finished. Need to figure out how to properly work Search and Destroy, Retrieval and Headquarters. Also still have to build the underground tunnel/sewer system. It'll most likely be a sort of tunnel system though. Not much to show though so no screenshots will be included this time. 15 days to go.

    Well for yesterday and today
    Map's comming along sexfully. Yesterday I barely worked on it as I was busy all night so I didn't really write up a journal report as I was tired. But since yesterday and today I've completed some more of the map. First of all I've added a few objects here and there:

    a truck where the allies spawn
    an apc with a ladder and a mg42
    a destroyed tank that almost drove off the edge
    a few cars here and there
    lights all around the streets
    lighted up the bell tower with some lights

    After that I tested my map to see if I could find any bugs and I did! For some reason the no draw texture wasnt holding up the character when applied to a terrain mesh so I guess I'm gonna put another texture on it instead, most likely the texture of the building it's in, or buildings. Also I found a secret in my own level ( =P ) but at the same time it allowed a player to jump out of my map... ( : | ) but I've already fixed that. Now ahead of me I've gotta add all the furniture, crates, barrels, etc. Then I'm up to the task of completing the underground tunnel/sewer system for the map, that oughta be exciting. Then once that is done all I have left to do is touch things up here and there, add all the gametypes followed by all the spawn points too and I'll be done! Yay!

    Well It's finally done, the layout portion at least
    Playable areas of the city, green is playable, red is unplayable.

    and by this i mean im finally done the upper layer of my map, now if i still want to or if it really is needed i can make the underground tunnel system... but i dunno, then just add the objects any other things to help the maps performance and ill be ready to actually try playing it...

    Yes! I'm so close to finishing the layout of my map, you know, all the brushes and patches... Wow, taken a long time but it was worth it the maps super sexy... All I have left to do is create some more boundaries on the north side of the map, a few tunnels and rooms here and there and voila I'll be done!!! =D Well, done that part, then comes the objects... =| But contrary to popular belief I'm looking forward to it right now. I sometimes wonder, who am I writing this for...? Me? 19.. er I guess 18 days to go, I'm done for the night...

    Well, yesterday I changed the whole layout of the hill design on my level, it's completely different now! Completed about 2 more buildings, and layed out some grass land, tree lines and bushes. So I'm almost pretty sure that the south area of my map is almost done, but if anything, that's the easiest part of my map. 19 days to go...

    Already a bit in
    I have already begun building my city for Call of Duty. So far I've completed 1 house, a few streets, a road going down a hill and part of a belltower and part of a hotel. It's crazy looking now but damn it's hard. But besides all that I've spent so much time trying to create the hill that the road goes down and damnit I just can't do it!! I've tried about 4 different ways, 1 actually looked nice and worked (in the editor) but was glitched out when compiled and played in the game... Arghh... So I've given up on that for now. I'll probably show some pictures in my next "journal entry." I got 21 days to go...
